A slight weight reduction in the 6600. Functionally they are identical.

Well how about Tiagra hubs vs. 105 or Ultegra, beside the name and the slight weight difference, are they not essentially the same? I'm looking to build some wheels and while the Ultegra\DA have the bling factor, I'm not planning to race, just ride. Will probably do up to 4K a year in flat, flat, flat North Florida. Is there a real benefit to the pricier hubs in my case?

The higher end hubs have more precision to the bearings and higher tech materials/manufacturing. Not sure they are going to be more durable per say though although they should be. I'd say go with 105, that's typically where the sweet spot lies when it comes to value.

i remember measuring the weight difference between the two... kept the 65s sold the 66s and made way more money on them by doing so...
the difference was like 5 grams... and the release lever is looks a little different..
