So Saturday i was suppose to go to a beach wedding. My wife was the "matron of honor" or whatever. My wife is the coolest, gave me a pardon from having to show. So here is a short photo essay of what I did instead of staring at greasy bbq and a keg of Shiner for an hour...

Rest stop 1 - East "cut" of Sargent Island

While riding from the east end to the west end of the island, I got a song stuck in my head. "I'm Going Coastal" by Big John Mills (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=92753023).

1 mile before the next picture, I scared the crap out of a fisherman. He didn't see me til he stood up from grabbing a beer out of his ice chest. I stopped, apologized, and suggested he get a different can of beer.

Rest stop 2 - West "cut" of Sargent Island

And finally after 4 hours of riding, the "finish"

From here it was spending quality time ( eatin and drinkin) with my in-laws.

Laters,

Never been able to prove it, but there is some weird Bermuda Triangle like stuff that goes on around my ice chest. But yes, it is Lone Star Light to be exact. The only beverage I can take down there, and not have disappear. Dr. Pepper, even Natty Light can fall victim. I prefer Shiner Bock, but that is a little expensive to be donating to grabby.

Haha, I've never met anyone who admits to drinking Lone Star beer. I prefer Shiner too, but will be switching to their light beer. Beer carbs aren't good ones. :-(

Wow, I'm blind. I saw the rear disk, and it just kinda morphed into a rear cassette. Didn't notice it was single speed.

Sounds like a nice little ride. ;)

Know them both. The bride is my wife's best friend. You could say she balances out the universe...considering that I have cool in-laws... if you catch my drift.

Awesome that you got a chance to ride. I am looking forward to riding for turkey day. Relatives are out of town so it is me and the fiancee this weekend. Lone Star...that brings back memories. My grandfater used to work at the brewery here in town before it closed down.

Call me crazy, but I like Miller High Life? At Danelectros Guitar bar, it's the coldest thing in the coolers. You can barely hold onto the bottle without a koozie. Looks like a fun ride!!,,,,BD
