I have a Cateye doubleshot that is a couple of years old. I like the spot beam, but with the newer LEDs out there, I'd like to upgrade the LEDs. Has anyone done this? Do you have any recommendations on which new LEDs to use. I think each one in the doubleshot is probably a 3w, although I would consider replacing them with 5w if I can still get the spot beam effect that they create now.

You know I really like the light head of the Cateye double and triples, modding them to be higher performance sounds like a fun project, provided a person already has one to mod :)
