I made the cut for my first ididaride. Anybody done this before and have advice? Can it be done on a cx bike or do I need to get out the hardtale xc bike?

I did it last year, and I'm in for this year too. I did it on a full-sus bike, but I know many folks who did it on hardtails. Unfortunately, I'm such a newbie to mountain-biking that I can't give you any input on what kind of bike to bring. It's a really long day on your bike, so make sure you're on your most comfy bike. The rest stops are great, and the after-ride meal one of the best. It's a great event.
