Kind of a burnout. I'm sick of the racing drama. I live in a town where the local team (biggest in the state) has some sort of problem with me. Not very fun racing when you are the only guy strong enough to give them a run for the money, only to be handed an asswhooping by a 10 man collaboration to drop you.

On top of that, training 3-4 hours a day only to have the aforementioned crushing happen in every race. It's depressing. Another big thing - money. I spend helluva tons to travel to races, enter them, and get almost nothing in return. I got 3rd in a race last season and my payout was $25. Not enough to cover 1/3 of the gas it took to get there and back. I love cycling, but not enough to ignore a bad investment.

I might change my tune if/when I move to Oregon, but until then, I'm not going to put myself through that anymore.

I am surprised at the Young masters choice. I used to post about 99% road and racing forums. I then switched over the foo. I just cant see myself ever switching back.

he could be in a cabana in a much warmer climate, but after i won him in BDG's auction, he came here and drank all my booze, ate all my food, messed with my kitty and departed to parts unknown:eek::mad::p:D
