Most routes will be ten or so miles at the most. If anybody wants a longer ride, come to the Long Beach meeting point (probably Lincoln Park, but I will announce when it's confirmed). We'll go up the river path and then through the deserted streets of industrial South LA toward the convergence point downtown.
No RSVP necessary, but if you let me know you're coming you'll be much more likely to get a special, handmade spoke card.

Does that mean that I can wear my spandex under the Santa suit?
I'm a maybe at the LB start. What is the pace like? I want to make sure that I have enough battery power available for my light.
20MPH, one battery...
15MPH, two batteries...

Do things just sort of break up @ the end? I'd really rather not solo back to claremont, but it seems like a good thing!

Are you using public transportation back to Claremont?

If by that you mean "which feeder route will have the most people," it will probably be the Hollywood one. I think that was the case last year. It will probably number in the hundreds. It'll probably be the slowest one as well. If you want to do more of a "ride" ride, you might want to come down to Long Beach. It will probably be a smaller group, going a little faster.
Spandex or no spandex, please wear a Santa hat if you have or can find one. Decorating your bike/self with lights or tinsel is also encouraged. This is Ridazz; there is no such thing as being too over-the-top with this kind of crap. Go nuts if you want.

BTW, I'm not going to have enough free time to make handmade spoke cards this time around. I mean, I'm going to use my hands to design them and print them out and laminate them, but they're not going to be handmade like the ones I made for my Lights Out! ride that none of you went to.
So you'll get spoke cards if you come down to Long Beach, but they won't be all artsy-craftsy, is all I'm saying.

What to bring: $10 cash to cover the cost of snacks, water and gas for our friendly driver PLUS either an unwrapped toy or a minimum $20 donation to Challenged Athletes Foundation. If you have any punctured tubes that you know you won't patch, please bring those too!
