Foo - Can I get the task bar on both screens on my computer?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have two 23" widescreen's that I'm running in dual display setup. The left one is the main screen. Unfortunately, the task bar is only on the left one and if I'm working on the right one, I have to pan across 40 inches of screen with my mouse before I can get to something on the left side of the task bar.

I'm running dual monitors using an nVidia card and nView Desktop manager. While I haven't been able to extend the task bar across both monitors, I do have the option of having it on either one. If the issue is having to move the cursor all the way across both monitors (from right to left) to access the Start Menu button, you might be able to move the task bar to the right monitor so that the Start Menu button is essentially in the middle of the monitors. If you are using nView Desktop manger, go to nView Properties (right-click on the desktop), then click on the Tools tab. Once there, you should see a button near the bottom that says Move to Display... - Click on it, and a window will open up asking you to move icons and taskbar to which ever display you select.
I just had a thought: You could also move the task bar to be vertically along the side. Oh, and I'm assuming you're using a PC. If you're on a Mac, I have no idea how to help you.

It would be awesome but alas no. What you could do is go to video properties and make the one you work on the primary monitor. Reboot and it "should" move the task bar to the new screen.

There's a utility called Ultramon (http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/) that I used for a while... added several features that were VERY useful for multiple monitors... including the ability to minimize to a taskbar ON THAT MONITOR instead of one that spanned both monitors or was only on the main one.
