So, what kind of wings are you eating?

wimps aka my fingers even curl from the sauce
mediums aka ok, so I can still eat 3 doxen, and not have to eat 10 rolaids later ...
hot aka testing the limit are we <devil grin> - not bad but there's still that extra step ...
Ultimate. aka G'HEAD TRY THE FREAKING HOTTEST THING AROUND!!!!!!!

Me? I have the opportunity of a couple of frozen tequitos or making some light butter popcorn. Make it good, you have one choice :D

Nukie Brown alias Newcastle Brown Ale served at about 50 degrees or so Fahrenheit.

Oddly enough, I'm going to say Rolling Rock, very cold, and lots of it. Save the tastier brews for more nuanced foods.

If the wings are hot enough then some nice cold XX (dos equis).
Only cause its mexican, and mexicans like their habeneros. Which of course everyone knows make the best melt your brains hot wings. Slightly fruity flavor with a heat so searing you'll feel it 2X :D

Something cold and fairly light. I'd stay away from anything as dark and cloying as Newcastle.

Some of the best wings I've had are from a place in NYC called "Pluck U." It's a ritual to get wings there any time I'm headed to Nevada Smith's--just a few doors down--to catch any England or Liverpool match.

Not a big chicken wing fan. I'd concentrate on the beer. How about a Warsteiner. Most any food goes with that.

Milwaukee's Best Light.

But then again, I try to have the Beast whenever possible.

It goes well with Turkey too, if you are wondering.

Now them's fightin' words.

Drink some over-hopped, over-hyped light western ale. Your taste buds will already be dead from the wings anyway. You wouldn't be able to taste a real brew like Newcastle.

Now them's fightin' words.

In the interest of maintaining peace, Newcastle has its place. It's just not next to a plate of hot wings.

We agree on that.

It's more a question on what wings to serve with the Yeungling Lager.

Modelo Negra. A very smooth dark beer. If you're Filipino, San Miguel Dark.

If the wings are hot, the beer must be cheap and ice cold. And from a can.

The heat and sauce from the wings overpowers the tastebuds to the point where you're just wasting money by drinking better beer with them.

PBR, Old Style, Miller High Life or whatever the local 5.99 for a 12 pack (or 11.99 for a 30 pack) swill is in your area. These would all work well.

Before the wings are served, feel free to drink something better.

Pluck U? Sounds like a rip off of Cluck-U (Cluck University) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluck-U_Chicken).

+1. Negra Modelo is so wonderful with wings!

I wouldn't call it dark...unless you're only comparing it with Mexican beers. :)

I love wings of a particularly hot nature and have found Newcastle profoundly refreshing with them!
Cloying? I am hurt! :(

Foster's, heineken and warsteiner all make for a good BBQ/wing beer. I can't stand Yeungling for some reason...

In this case, the beer is just an oral rinse to wash away whatever parts of your mouth and esophagus the hot wings may have caustically dissolved. I didn't recommend Bud only because the foul taste would add insult to injury.

Hey, Tom Stormcrowe! You from Pittsburgh? A devotee of the pale, stale ale?

+1 If the wings are really spicy hot any very cold beer will work. Maybe even a light beer so you can swill lots of it. :)
