I'm new to the forum but was looking for information on replacing some dropouts with trackends on my fixedgear. I was wondering if anyone has done this before. I already have my trackends and I've fabricated a dummy axle at the exact same 120 spacing as the frame. I'm planning on clamping the seat & chain stays with pieces of angle iron and C-clamps. I will then debraze the original dropouts and replace them with the ones I ordered. I don't know how to braze but am very competent at welding, so I was planning on welding the new steel track ends in place. Before I actually de-braze the original dropouts. I was hoping for some additional tips/advice/warnings what have you. Thanks.

Don't know if it will work because the seatstays are probably too far back for track drops. Usually, the seatstays on a track are in front of the axel and a regular frame, the stays are behind or on top of the lugs, but I could be wrong. Only built a couple track frames and they were built for veledrome riding, extra stiff.

Looks like what you are planning. Only it appears they did not get the track end slots parallel with each other. Otherwise looks like a good job.
