Mountain Biking - Well, finally made the choice!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Well, ive been on here for a few weeks asking that famous "What bike to get" question. I finally bought my first bike this Saturday. I bought a 2002 Bianchi Grizzly on sale. They had it on sale cause , well, its a 2002 model. I wasnt really looking at Bianchi but once i got there, my buddy who has been riding for several years , walked in and seen it and said that it was a nice bike and that I should consider it. It has a nice Marzocchi Bomber fork, and XT shifters, brakes, and derailluers, tubless tires, Raceface cranks and other stuff...
Buddy took me out today on 4 mile trail and we rode it twice. Also had my first crash, all thanks to my clipless pedals. Those will take some getting used to. Not the same as my old platform pedals. Ill try to get some pics of the bike. Ill stop boring you now..later

It will definately grow on you. There is something "magical" about Celeste Green. Bianchi is a great bike manuf. and the Grizz is a sweet bike. Congrats!

wow,, i feel like i got hosed. I did get a 2001 model!!!! They told me it was a 2002. Damnit. But yes, mine looks like the 2001 model. Think i should address the bike shop on that one?? How would they have a New 2001 model?? That makes no since. Payed 1099 for it but it being almost 3 years old?? is that a good deal?

I wouldn't complain too much, that's probably close to their cost. I doubt they'd go any cheaper. Plus, they had to assemble it, and pay for electricity and ...etc. to keep the doors open. Often the single last bike will not sell for whatever reason. The shop I worked had a new bike that was close to 4 years old that we couldn't sell for any price. It ended up being donated.
Good bike, just no one wanted it!
The Grizz is a great bike! Ride it and enjoy!
