Can anyone help me to understand approximately how long a upgrade takes to go through USAC? I am in AL and our rep is in GA if that helps any. The upgrade is from 5-4 so it shouldn't take too long, right? Thanks for any insight!

5-4 should take a few days. It's cool.

Depends on the rep and how conscientious/busy that person is.

If you're desperate for a particular race get there early and try to find the official.

I had the worst luck getting my upgrade through the United States Auto Club.
AAA, in comparison, was much more responsive.

It's not so much a particular race as a reason. There is a team that has asked me to join them for next season but they require you to be at least a 4. I submitted the request a week ago but no word yet.

It could also have to do with the fact that GA and AL were together previously but this coming season they have split with AL starting there own bike racing association. At this time though the rep is still from the combined association. Not sure if this would create a delay/problem or not?

Mine took a couple weeks.

If you have ten races or more in already, I wouldn't sweat it too much... just tell the team that you've submitted for the upgrade, and they'll probably let you in.

Probably just delayed because of the holiday week...i'm sure you'll get your upgrade next week.
