Last Minute Notice for you hardcore climbers that wait til midnight to check the forum and decide which mountain to climb early in the morning. Yes  we are riding the tandem and everyone is welcome to tag along. Ride out the blvd to El Cerro and up to the south entrance- a nice warm up (40-50 minutes). Then the beautiful climb. I predict the sun will be out and warming up as we climb. Should be epic. Then descend the North side. About 40 miles total and 3,800 feet ish.

We will meet at the soccer field parking lot - on SanCarlos right by Ygnacio. 7 a.m. starting time. I will check this forum in the morning.

You guys are nuts! It's far too cold and too early for this cranky stoker (TM Velodiva).

Post pics and a ride report. I'll bet your nose hairs freeze on the descent! :D

It was 37 degrees when we left the comfort of the inside. We layered up so it wasn't bad. Rode out to the south side of the mountain. About 48 minutes at an easy warm up pace. We did warm up quickly.

Got to the Athenian school and stopped to stretch and peel some of the layers. The ride up was very beautiful. Above mid mountain there was a detectable breeze, which turned into 20-30 mph gusts at the top. Yes RedRider, It Was COLD!! About 38 degrees at the top. We layered up and got down as soon as we could. Took a few of self portraits after we got ready for the descent.

After the ride we went to my brothers for an incredible feast. Hope you guys all had a super Thanksgiving.

Wow, those photos capture it all! More power to the two of you! I only wear that kind of face protection skiing! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Hermes and I did the Mount Hamilton low key hill climb - wheels rolling at 9:30 AM when the weather was ALOT warmer.

You guys rock. I was having problems climbing 5% grades on Thursday with the cold air. Looks like a Balaclava might just do the trick...

Nice Ninja shots BTW.

I don't see many tandems on the Mountain, but I've seen it a lot colder than it was this weekend.
