Thanks, y'all! Brr.. chilly this morning. Going to take my birthday bones outside shortly to meet Adam for our turkey day ride. How old would I be if I didn't know how old I was? Hmmm, early twenties! (old enough to know better and ignore it anyway!)

Just got back from a 55 Mile birthday climbing ride with Nesdog (Sheldon). He kicked my ass !!!
Through Hidden Valley and up the Dos Vientos climb, down Portero into the flats of Camarillo. On to PCH then up and over Mulholland to Westlake and a quick descent.
Great ride Sheldon.... Happy B-Day.

Just got back from a 55 Mile birthday climbing ride with Nesdog (Sheldon). He kicked my ass !!!
Through Hidden Valley and up the Dos Vientos climb, down Portero into the flats of Camarillo. On to PCH then up and over Mulholland to Westlake and a quick descent.
Great ride Sheldon.... Happy B-Day.
By the time I got back to my house, I had logged 58 miles. Yep...feeling it now!
The only reason I kicked your butt was because you were nice to enough to get a bunch of cramps and slowed down. Wow, what a friend to do that for me! Putting yourself in pain to make me feel young again! Otherwise you would have powdered me. Not to mention the fact that you flew down Potrero towards Camarillo as well as Westlake/Decker. I couldn't even keep up. BTW, hope your body is feeling better now.
We had a great ride, and this was a route that I had never done so all the better. Nice weather along the beach and barely a car in sight as we climbed Mulholland from Leo. We only had about 2 cars coming the other way for the entire 7 mile stretch. And never anyone behind us...the canyons were empty.
We did see a huge nearly 100 rider group going into Hidden Valley as we exited.
All in all, a fantastic ride that I'll remember for a while. Thanks for meeting me this morning...we gotta do more of these!

I'm feeling a lot better after a hot shower. My legs are toast though and I feel it tonight. Hopefully they will co-operate tomorrow for a recovery ride to flush the latic acid out :)
I had to stop once on the way home when my hamstrings seized climbing Lakeview... Amazing I didn't fall over the entire day when both legs seized straight. LOL...
