What a big joke. Just even watching the small segments of performed acts makes me want to vomit. I see no point in it.

The parade is incredible up close - just got some txts from people and I wish I could be there. One of the few uncontroversial events in the city ;)

My friends backed out on me at the last minute to ride up 9W so I decided to do a few laps around central park. On the 3rd lap around 8am by Columbus Circle, I had to almost come to a complete stop and unclip because of the throng of people walking towards the start of the parade in the middle of the damn road!

Oh well. Tourists are good for the city.

It is for the kiddies! I watch on TV because the crowds in Manhattan are just nuts!

Tourists are great for the city! Keep those Euros, Yen, and whatever else coming in!:D

When I lived in NYC the parade was a lot of fun mainly because you were not stuck in one place and had to suffer the parade going by at a snails pace and there is a lot of interesting stuff that happens in the staging areas before the parade. But watching it on TV was never fun.

I am a total kid (and will be one the rest of my life). I luv parades, balloons, things that light up and go karts and ... well ... that kind of stuff :D


Trying to get ahold of one of my friends who moved to Manhattan this past Summer - he better have gone to see it!

And Hmmmmph! I'm the ONLY one voted they like the parade. hehe, I played an oboe in high school - classical wind ensemble - AND I played clarinet in marching band - which I liked very much. :D

Cousin marched in Macy's parade a few times with her high school band. :D

The Macy's parade is just one of many things that I dislike about NYC.
