I crashed my Pista yesterday, and broke my stock front wheel. I want to ride tonite, so can I pull the front wheel off of my sister's Bianchi Veloce and ride with it even though it is a quick release? The wheel is a Campy Scirocco, btw.
QUick responses are appreciated as I want to ride in the next 30 minutes. Thanx.
As long as it isn't a 27 and you run 700c or the other way around. Lining up the brake (if you have one) could prove to be troublesome.
If the hub spacing is the same, which it should be (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_sp-ss.html#spacing), I don't see why it would be a problem...
Right, unless the wheels are different sizes and you run a front brake, in which case you would have to adjust pads.
Should take about five minutes to get the thing running, provided it's the same wheel size. Go for it.

Do the new road bikes even come with 27" wheels anymore? I thought 700c was pretty much the standard.
Sorry to get off topic, but has anyone decided to switch to 27" from 700c?
^^^^Yup, totally a good choice. The tire selection is 100000x better. As well as the rim selection.
