Increased moment of inertia is the only downside of larger wheels. I would only get a folder if it had wheels at least 24", if not 650c.

Yumcha likes to be controversial - he's just a fun kind of a guy. I liked that post of his where he advised a poster asking about brakes to just take them off completely and use his face to stop the bike.

but that was just the start of Yumpcha's helpful tips - he went on to write about essential security tool of urban cycling, the glock auto pistol. We need original thinking here maybe - I'm so uninventive, I still haven't worked out how to stop a bike with my face let alone how a glock pistol would fit in my bum bag alongside the puncture outfit, multi tool and pump. What should I leave out?

Evidently you don't need a folder, don't want a folder, and don't understand why anyone else would. Fine (but why are you posting here?)!. FYI no bike with wheels over 20", regardless whether it folds, is going to fit on the overhead rack of a commuter train. In fact I've found my 16" wheels are about the biggest I'd want to try. It could be that larger wheels would be faster on the roads, but my Mini routinely hits speeds over 70 mph with me reading or sleeping on the seat under it. Just try that on a bike with bigger wheels!
