There's a laptop for $230 at Best Buy, but there are only 20 available and I'm not camping out for it.

I'm going to Radioshack tomorrow. I don't really care if I get what I want. I'm pretty sure noone is going to get what I'm looking for.

Btw does Petsmart have anything going on?

The girlfriend and I are taking a nice long ride and maybe hit some of the local shops, no malls, no herd mentality, just us, the bikes, and some peace and quiet.

Spent all my Black Friday money (thankfully) on the Ksyrium ES's at Performance, although I'm going to head over to the Apple Store in the morning here in Tucson to see what's cooking...

I want to go to best buy and pick up battlefield 2. Ug, stupid black friday. I need one simple item, yet I will probably be stuck in lines forever. Perhaps I'll go at 5:30am ish, go home and sleep till 9 again. Do you think it will be somewhat crowded at 5:30 tomorrow morning?

If you get there at 5:30 AM, I'll estimate the line to be 300 deep if it's anything like last year!

Yes, people camp out in parking lots.

What the nub is wrong with people? Just let me get my damn game with peace of mind. Garg, Christmas shopping is worse than the Macy's Day Parade.

I guess I will have to be ready. It is starting to get cold here and I will need winter clothing for my commute. I have tomorrow off, so I guess I will be riding to the bike shops to see what I need. I wish I could just stay home and take my dog to the park. I'm really hating the idea of going shopping tomorrow. I hate shopping any day, but tomorrow... oh brother.

I came to work. No way was I going shopping.

We are probably at 25% strength today. Gotta love it!

I went places and was surprised that it wasn't really crowded anywhere I went. The the roads are pretty empty too which is nice. I didn't really get anything.

BF2? Really? That's been out since 2005. It's not bad but it sure doesn't beat DC for BF1942.

I've heard of that before. Is it a free Mod or is it an expansion? I always play BF1942 multi (I love the airplane flying ability) and I used to play COD2 but that gets old just with shooting. I just thought BF2 will have more helis and tanks and a better advanced online play.

BF2 for ten bucks isn't a bad deal (Best Buy online, IIRC). I'm not sure it comes with special forces, which is also fun.

My favorite mod for BF2 is POE2, for '42 it was DC.

When I was lurking around some stores I saw buy 1 get one free for some consoles(some good games left). Really tempting.

I just played the demo for multi. Eh, I like the orginal BF more.

Free mod called Desert Combat (DC).

I created the DCX mod which was like DC on steroids. But when it comes to gameplay and the fun factor, DC defintely beats out BF2.

I downloaded the silent heroes mod, installed it, but have yet to know how to find it or use it in 1942. I wonder if that will happen also for DC. If I download it, install it, will it already be embedded within the original BF game?

Probably installs in the BF loadpoint and uses different command-line parameters to start. DC will create a "shortcut" on the desktop to help ...

i.e.

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +game DesertCombat

vs vanilla 42

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe"

I went to 6 radio shacks today looking for a stupid GPS and finally found one... That has to be some kind of record.

The radioshack I went to had about 20 people when I got in. I was surprised, I thought it was going to have more people.

I know. I hate that place. I just went there because that is the only store that had what I was looking for. Talk about overpriced.

Check the yellowpages an electronics dealer that caters to small businesses. If you know what you're looking for, you can usually get it for 1/3 Radioshack's MSRP.

There are a small amount of those and CB radios aren't that popular.

Eh, radioshack CBs are good for light use only. Maybe for car trips, but not for any real around town talking.
