Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've been wearing the same pair of jeans for...oh a while... because I'm unkempt like that, and I wore them on a 30 mile ride out to nearby town and back just the other day. I don't know how I do it, but I end up with black chainring grease prints down the lowers of both white pant legs, and I even have the right-side rolled up. I still had them on today at Thanksgiving with the extended family (even after the days-old sweaty ride), and one of my cousins in his mid-twenties was sitting in a chair across of me and asked,

"Did you buy your pants that way?"

I looked down at the funky zig zags from the teeth for a minute and said no.

But I wonder if I should market this idea. It couldn't hurt to make cycling a little more fashionable for the average person, no? I mean, we already have "pre-worn" jeans. Why not "pre-ridden"?

See, this is why you're not supposed to ride in jeans.

You rode 30 miles in jeans? You must have some kinda saddlesores...

In addition to the chainringed jeans, you could do some white tube socks with the same design on 'em, too.

You know, for wearing with cutoffs.
