It felt like I was riding a quiet country road up in Napa. At the top of Old La Honda, I saw one of the mailboxes had been knocked off its post. I wonder what the farthest distance an Old La Honda resident has to go to get the mail. I noticed a road named "Upenuf" for the first time on the way up Old La Honda. Riding on Skyline provided great views of the valley and the ocean. I didn't realize the amount of climbing from Old La Honda to Pagemill since I'm usually riding north on Skyline and not really noticing the descent. My reverie was occasionally interrupted by the buzzing of motorcycles. Perhaps in a few decades, they'll have electric motors which will be a lot quieter.

Yea, when I do OLH, I usually look for Upenuf ... twice ... this tells me I am close to the end of the climb. I think it would be interesting to compile a list of interesting names ... like Upenuf, Cloudburst, etc ...

I stayed off the bike, being lazy. For dinner had a bunch of sushi! mmm sushi! I did have traditional turkey and stuff the day before. Damn I ate so much!

We didn't go up OLH, as I had planned. I chickened out. Perhaps this weekend.

I saw a road called 'Hammer Lane', it's on 236 somewhere between Boulder Creek and Big Basin.

Yes, the weather was great, traffic was low. I had a great ride up Mt. Hamilton with the other lo-key hillclimbers. It was one of those rides I'll remember for a long time.
