hi all,
i got a giant tcr one that has suddenly possessed a ticking noise---sounds like it's coming from the seat tube.

it occurs when i'm in the seated position and pedaling. seems to disappear when i'm standing and dancing on the pedals.

bottom bracket and crank arms seem to be in good shape.

i think it's either coming from the seat post or the interface between that and the frame.

any ideas?

Remove the seatpost, grease it and reinsert it if its a NON carbon
fibre seatpost.
Also check the clamp on the seatpost, sometimes they can
work their way loose and cause creaking/clicking.

Are you wearing a watch?

If that is not it, make sure you pedals are tight.

My Selle Italia Flite Ti saddle ticks when I pedal... try loosening the seat bolts, but a couple drops of lube, or grease on the rails, and re-tighten.. mine went away for a couple months... it's barely starting to tick again now...

I had a similar tick, it turned out to be a loose kickstand.
