I'm not sure, but I believe the freezing point of the alcohol may make it a little hard to set up.

Never had "beer" ice cream - but have had some odd ice creams as a couple places around me make odd flavors - like saurkraut or hot dog or friench fries and ketchup, etc ice cream for April Fools Day.

Toscanini's in Cambridge sometimes has ice cream made from Guinness wort - it's heavenly.

Never made beer ice cream, but watched Nick Nolte in Cannery Row and made myself a beer float with Blue Bell vanilla ice cream and Budweiser. Cannot say it was good.

Forget that you put a beer from the six pack you bought yesterday in the freezer to cool down.
