that was fun reading.....sorry, the leg stays......i'm not a threat....and i don't know ovoleg, therefore, i have never dated him...especially since i only go out when the streetlights are ON!...had the flu yesterday, and missed the ride this (sunday) morning....so, i was on looking for the route slip for sunday....maybe to catch up? i'll make every attempt to recreate the sunday loop, but will definately see you next sunday~! jleg8!!!

Jleg, Ovo is harmless and a rather good looking young man (here is where every other man on here cringes and Ovo blushes, although he'd never admit it). He's just messing with you.

Anyway, glad you found a group to ride with. I've heard OC Velo is a great group of folks. :)

I hope you get better. Down some VitaminC. I hope you know im just giving you a hard time. It was a tough but fun ride and I always like riding with people. I was just sick of studying for finals and went surfing to give my friends a hard time for missing out on the bike dirtying fun.

Went to our Christmas party the night before and didn't get to bed until 2:00, then I didn't wake up until 11:30!!!:o

Damn, Im not going to be able to meet you in person this Sunday. I am hosting a Kevin Smith Movie Marathon at my home this Sunday for my friends. (His new fiancee has never seen any of the classics. We are gonna fix that =) )

Burrito Century ride this Sunday. There are people doing shorter (50miles) route too. Starts in Irvine, so not sure how far that is from your place. I'm geographically challenged. :D

About a month behind your post but thought I'd give you a heads up. I'm just back on myself, started in June. After a period I started looking for clubs. Lots of well organized rides with any below, no membership rqr'd. Great riding in group, great to ride with stronger riders to improve.
Here some names:
OC velo they ride out of Huntington Beach Weekends T/Th early mornings
OC rebel riders, they ride from Windrow pk (sp) Jeffrey and Alton Irvine
OC wheelmen, weekend rides leave from food park MacArthur and Main NB or Irv

each has a web site Google can take you to.

thanks for all the other rides! I have been riding with ocvelo on Sundays...right now the only time i have, and they are GREAT!! the ride (for them) is a recovery ride, but it is stilll a challenge for me...but, I'm improving! hope to see you out there!

Palm Springs is a fun ride, but make sure that you are comfortable riding in VERY large groups. about 9,000 people start at the same time and I have seen many accidents happen right at the beginning.

Otherwise, there are hotels nearby, but they are probably already booked. Anyplace in Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, La Quinta, or as far away as Desert Wells will leave you with only a 15 minute drive to the start. Park your car at the High School and follow the stream of bikes to the downtown starting line...
