Certainly, you'll have to be prepared to do a certain amount of "debugging": http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2739YES but the benifets are much more than a off the shelf "slap together kit"

Randy, do you mind taking a few days off from the trolling? The weather there is probably beautiful, you could go out sailing or sightseeing. Na I like keeping Lowell at bay with his heavy amp eating MOTORCYCLE when the pineapple fields are muddy. lol

saltydawg, I find the long bottom bracket spindle for the cyclone kit to be more than comfortable enough.

I'm sure it depends on the rider though.

I don't think there are any major flaws with any of the cyclone kits. For e-motorcycle speeds and power, (and expense) I think you may be happier with the setups lowell likes to use (crystalyte controller+hubmotor combinations that max out at over 1000w, and high voltage batteries.)

For a bike you'll ride at about 20mph, the cyclone 500w kit is pretty good.

"Purrs like a cat" is a pretty good description of the noise level of the 500w cyclone kit, but I couldn't say whether that's true with the 1000w setup.

A nice 800 watt motor WITHOUT a gear reduction with a chain drive to a rear wheel freewheel sprocket would make a nice set up.The direct drive would be the same length motor as the cyclone motors and have a lot more torque. My Razor 650 has one and if you found a good rack to mount it to would be a great option.

For $115.84 and the cost of a mount on a bike rack, a freewheel sprocket for the rear wheel or hub and batteries your set for 30 Mph+ speeds and any hills on your ebike with much better efficiency and less weight than a hub motor.Less noise than any chain drive kits with MORE power too.
Or just put a pedal generator on the Razor 650 that cost $400 deliverd and add lithiums for a lightweight street LEGAL motocross ebike that already has two disc brakes and a full suspension..

Yea Yea Yea.... Ok here is my secret. You can call Up Jim at Cyclone USA about independently testing my ride after he took a ride in my park while I chased him on my boys 125 KZ MX dirtbike. He seemed to want my system pretty bad.

Here is a ebike that weighs less than LoWells motorcycle. It also has much more power. I doubt if it needs that bike chain or derailer.

What I would like to see on videos is complete 1 hour or longer trips showing 20 mph round trips that have a tendancy to prove REAL efficiency results by also showing the batteries or at least telling us what kind and amp hours used per 20 mile ROUND trip at 20 mph average speeds. So Who holds the worlds record for the longest ebike video on a ebike going up hill or otherwise on a ROUND TRIP ? LOL

Rocket bikes? You must be from another planet.

40km in 38.5 minutes, including red lights. Why average 20mph when you can average 40mph? Are you going to claim another world record in RandyLand?

What do you call your ebike which goes 47mph? (by your own 'out of thin air' claims that is)

How many amps does it draw at 47mph?

How many amps does it draw at 47mph?It was A light weight ebike that was street legal here at the posted speed limit with the 2 Hp limit at 72 volts. Now at at 36 volts it's a legal ebike anywhere else in the US other than Hawaii and New York at 57 lbs.Of corse with the heavy Huffy weighing 45 lbs with the motor and batteries being a total of 12 lbs good for 30 miles just about anywhere round trip without pedaling. Actually it's a few lbs lighter with the new wheels and without any derailers or cassette coggs on the full suspension ebike.

What's wrong with it? I don't know enough about motor design to be able to know good from bad, I would like to learn what to look for though...Look for small motor that has enough torque to direct chain drive the wheel WITHOUT multi chain or gear reductions on the motor.

no video (buy me a camera and its battery and i'll shoot one for you) but today i did a 35mile round trip with 500W cyclone motor.

Battery pack is lithium-iron 10Ah 24V, used power to near the BMS cutoff, so I'm assuming it was close to 10Ah actually used.

Here is the route. (hope the link works)

Lets see the ROUND TRIP on the Gmaps Pedometer.

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1474928

23.2 miles.

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1474935

This is a route from work, to the Vancouver Art Gallery where the critical mass rides start, and the rough route (some forgotten though, seems to be a few loops missing somewhere along the lines) and then to another job. A few people also took my bike for test rides which aren't shown on the map.

Please explain how the video and matching g-map data is fake. As usual, your arguments hold no water.

gentlemen, this pissing match is getting out of hand. I suggest checking your egos at the door, have a respectful if not friendly discussion of find somewhere else to bicker and take cheap shots at each other. Thank you.
