Hi,
the trainee is me, don't you see. Funny how things never go quite the way you expect. I was worried the thing would collect dust; I expected it would take internal nagging to use it. I like it.
My middle aged body has a real limit to the amount of abuse it wants to see. It's best if I don't ride consecutive days; I can get away with it once in a while......
I decided to throw my bike on the trainer a few days ago. So there I was, pedaling away in my back yard. My goal with the trainer is to simply pick a pace I can hold for an hour. So I picked an easy pace, and figured I was good. After 20 minutes of non-stop pedaling my butt and hamstrings are burning, and my lungs are dragging massive amounts of air in and out. So I backed off a gear. Did another 20 minutes, in total it lasted about 40 minutes.
I rode a couple days later, and I felt that I could notice a small improvement. Yesterday I used the trainer again, and today I commuted to work. I can workout more often now.
I feel a little silly saying...Hey, I used this twice, and I'm better and it's really cool. But hey, I did use it twice, my life feels a little better, and yeah, that is cool in my book.
