No more road bike for 4-6 months
The salt trucks have been spraying there evil mixture for the last few days. Needless to say the PR2's need to come off and the old roller tires will been mounted on my road bike. I will still use the Hybrid and then the mountain bike on the road until the snow completely takes over, Its just not the same.
On the other hand, the slopes opened today :D

I was just going to say: "Are you kidding me??" :p
Living in the Great White North, you should have boards (or a board) strapped
to your feet.
Look at what we've got here and see who's complaining. I posted these pics this morning.

:o
I did hit the slopes and they were OK as expected for the opening weekend. The 10 day forecast is all below freezing with snow everyday so they should improve greatly.
On the other note the rollers are in now in use, so one hoby gets better and one gets worst. I guess it all depends on wich forum you are on weather you are happy or sad.

Hey ... I've driven from Milwaukee to Marquette just to ski on the City Trail for two hours, or go over to some golf course near Ishpeming, then drive back the same day only to be greeted by brown ground.
:(
Talk about depressing to be back home.
It was neat, though, seeing half the US National XC Ski Team at the same golf course because it was the only snow anywhere. That was back in the day when NMU was THE place to be (not that it's still not a powerhouse in XC). This year, I guess, everyone is out at Yellowstone.
:D
