Not sure if the fact that they acknowledge it makes it better or worse. Is it better to drive such a beast because of ignorance, or you just don't care?

That's an Arkansas plate....they probably get congratulatory notes on their windshield all the time (would be the same in the South).

No reason to be upset. It's clearly meant to read Global-WMR (Weapon of Mass [Emissions] Reductions). It's actually a fuel-cell vehicle disguised as gas-guzzling SUV. An ironic commentary on preconceptions and the search for identity in an increasingly globalised world.

Neither. Some people can poke fun at themselves without threatening their fragile egos.

Not trying to start a war here, but there's no concrete proof yet that the current warming trend we're in is caused by auto emissions . . . could be what the SUV owner is poking fun at. The whole global warming issue is being blown WAAAAAY out of proportion.
