I'd like to get a rear in Black, but I've never noticed anyone selling them individually except on ebay used.

I could ask the bike shop, but i figured why bother them with it since I probably wouldn't build the wheel up until spring, no sense in building a new wheel to ride through the winter muck.

Spicer has the cheapest Phils I could find. I got my set from him. As a bonus it comes double fixed as well.

I got mine 32h high flange double fixed silver for 165. Beat that guy by 3 bucks.

The guy at American Cyclery was explaining to another customer (some n00b who was building up his first fixie with unobtanium parts) that because the anodizing process sometimes results in different tones, the colored Phils are only sold in sets. Right afterward he told me that they didn't carry 26mm cross levers because they were too cheap to be sold, meaning unreliable. So honestly I'm not sure if that's the truth.

even if it were true, it'd be hard for me to believe for black.
