Folding Bikes - Friend's Tyrell Si

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi All,
A while ago i have posted my Tyrell SZ, so now its my friend's turn to show his Tyrell Si (full Scandium made)

As expected earlier, the bike is very stable (compare to Dahon and KHS F20 series), thanks to its extra wheel base, and this bike is very responsive in terms of cornering and acceleration.
The down side of this bike is its not a folder (so its not easy to travel around), and its more bumpy than the SZ becaue it does not have any shocks on board. But if you are looking for a little racer, this is surely going to be a good choice~
Enjoy Cycling

Not to sound ignorant here but, if it's not a folder, is there any reason to go with the smaller sized wheels? Why not go with full 700c?

Read some pros and cons of small wheels here:

I guess my answer to that is its more unique and easier to store in tight area (such as Hong Kong)...
Its very responsive which i think something that a 700C cannot perform~:D

Great read trentschler, thanks!
jpm: I wonder if you could enquire if the carbon forks that are used on the Tyrell above are available for sale separately?

Hi Jur,
I checked on their official online store, but it seems the fork does not sell seperate.

And i have no idea if they would ship internationally too~:(
Perhaps the next time i visit the bike shop newr by and ask them if there are anyway of getting fork alone (normally they import the whole bike:p)
