Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Now, what's the next tour?
Sounds like good times. Are you ready for the next one yet?

I'm already discussing it with Neil F. He seems to be able to put up with me, which is more than most folks can say.

Nice read, congratulations on the tour, maybe the next one will be a bit more sunny.

Sweet, can I come out and play too? I don't know if I could go for an entire week due to work related time restrictions, but I could probably hang for a 3-4 day trip if spread over a weekend.

Looks like it'll be somewhere from the 22nd to the 25th, somewhere from 2-4 days depending on what we decide to do.
I'm leaning towards a route that takes us through New York City (Neil has never been there), but xmas shopping crowds in the city are liable to be rough. I know a few people who live there that might let us crash for a night.
Boston to New York might be a little too ambitious for the time we have, but that one'sbeen in the back of my head for a while now. New Jersey... I've toured twice, both times in NJ. Neil was working up some ideas for PA, but I'm worried about snow.
DC? Baltimore? Crash space will not be a problem, I have family is those areas.

My great shame is now public. :o

When i lived back east, circa 1980, I used to love to go on long bike rides in south central New Jersey, starting in Cranbury or Princeton Junction - western Monmouth County, over into PA. But then it got so built up an crowded, especially all around Princeton...

Jackson, Allentown, and parts of East Windsor are quite beautiful. They're going to be built up, I imagine, so enjoy them while you can.
Stating about 5 miles in, this was a wonderful ride:

And the next day from East Windsor to New Hope was awesome once I got away from Quaker Bridge Road and off of route 31:
