Does anybody have any experience with the AC 420s. I'm looking at getting a set for racing.

Any thoughts from anyone using the AC 420's as an everyday wheel on the road? Are they durable enough? Or mainly for the track?
Only real bad thing I've heard about them is the bearings they use wear out quickly.
Yup, I think the 420s use AC's micro front hub which is tiny, therefore the bearings do wear out quite fast. I did the Alaska AIDS ride (#2) on a set of Speedreams with the AC micro front hub and after 400 miles (including rain) the bearings developed play and had to be replaced. AC recommends you regrease the bearings after EVERY rain and next time I will. (There is a small grease port on the front so you can use a grease gun).
But I've since taken those wheels off and have used them only in the dry.
I wouldn't use them for commuting or long distance touring (unless you want to carry a grease gun!) but they're fine when dry.
