Tell me something so dim in your memory that it may or may not have really happened. Maybe it was a dream you had, maybe it wasn't.

I vaguely remember packing up and moving down the street to a different home when I was a child. It was at night and I think I remember my brother being asleep during the whole thing. It was like a clandestine move where we didn’t want people to know or something. Totally weird. And weird that it pops into my head every so often. I need to ask my mother about this. It took place in Maine (Bangor to be exact) and I was about 5 years old at the time – I think.

I used to have a very vague memory/dream of my grandfather putting me on his shoulders and watching cartoons on a movie projector in the closet. The thing was...he left it in the closet (top shelf) and put me on his shoulders and I'd watch it from there.

I did inquire later and it was obviously a dream.

Then there is the memory that once when we vacationed with some family in Michigan (where my extended family live), we went over the border to Canada. We took a trip up to East Tawas in Northern Michigan with my uncle/aunt.

I remember me, my father, brother and uncle (dad's brother) going out (leaving my mom and aunt at the hotel). We went to a diner for lunch or something and a little park with some swings. My dad/uncle told me we were in Canada. I thought for YEARS I had been to Canada. Then mentioned it to my mom once when I was about 18 and she said, "NO WAY....if you crossed the border you'd have had to go through a major checkpoints going in and out, not to mention needed passports, etc....".

My dad has no memory of it.....I suspect they (dad and uncle) thought it was funny to play a little joke on an unsuspecting 8 year old.

That was the Baltimore Colts moving to Indianapolis. It wasn't a dream.

I can describe in detail a fence at the house where we lived when I was only a few months old. I know I remember the fence. My parents say it is not possible. I described the fence to them and they told me what house it was at and that there is no way I can remember the fence.

THAT'S IT!!!!

I use to be a Baltimore Colts fan back in day and somehow their secret move and my childhood memories intertwined. ;)

I distinctively remember lying in my crib, having my diapers changed, and pulling up on the sofa when I was learning to walk.
The folks say I just remember seeing home movies, but there are no home movies of some of the things I remember and none from the point of view I remember.

I remember learning to cuss by listening to the neighbor across the street. He died when I was about 3, so my parents say there is no way I could remember him....but I can tell you his name, what he would yell at the teenagers in the neighborhood, and what they would yell at him.

You are a southener aren't you? We cuss down here. They swear up north. I learned to cuss from my foul-mouthed parents and grandparents. I thought it was part of the English language until I called my sister a prick and got slapped on the mouth.

Wait a minute... I pride myself in being a prick. You don't need one, to be one... Biotch!
