As it gets cold, and people get stuck indoors, the forums will be a bit less friendly. We look forward to spring.
This is why the moderation team as a whole strongly supports winter cycling. :)

The "Waaaaah" thread was difficult for me to follow and it seemed like Lecterman started it. Yes I realize that it was attributed to Pete, but I thought with Mod powers you guys could lift a posting from another thread (in this case a posting by Pete), and assign authorship to a new thread to the author of the lifted posting (in this case Pete). I was wrong in that assumption. It just didn't make any sense. Not having that thread around is no loss as it just exacerbated a ridiculous argument. Thanks for the clarification.
Houston,
I appreciate you being much more rational than some of your cohorts in your criticism. I do not claim to be a master moderator or anything of the sort. I made a decision based on the feedback I got from several members. The thread had degenerated into an insult session, and I see no value in those. Donna and Brian were aware of my feelings on the thread. If they felt it was worth salvaging they have full ability to do so. Moderation is a collaborative effort. For the record. I did not start the "Waaaaaah" thread, Pete did. I did change the title as it had turned into a b!tch fest. I do not regret it as it was fitting to the content of the thread. As far as misuse of PMs, I am unsure what you mean. I did not post a PM or misuse their purpose in any way, Pete did though. Just so you know, he also told me: "Go f!uck yourself" as a response to my polite e-mail to him. So this might give you a better idea of his character.
As far as my postings in the thread, I tried to take the high road, but I had to attempt to speak at the same communication level of the parties involved in order to get through to them. I will not stand by and let members childishly bash me without reply. If someone, even Brian does not like it, too bad. I do not paid to be here, but I do it anyway on top of working 60 hours a week, going to graduate school, and helping raise 2 kids.
I do not intend to moderate in A & S anymore. If people want to treat each other like sh*t, go for it. I do not understand that type of communication, but I do not have to.
On a side note, I do find it funny that I am considered by some in this thread as the worst mod ever. I think someone mentioned that mods should be "invisible". I am for the most part. I am not a high volume poster in general threads because I have a limited about of time to spend on BF some days and I try to spend that time doing my "job" as a mod. If that makes me a "bad" mod, so be it.

"Polite" is calling someone a child and making ridiculous suggestions? You are even more confused than I imagined.
p.s. You never sent me an email, you sent me a silly "infraction" PM.
That's probably the best decision you could make. Your fragility makes you particularly unsuited for the task.
Again, not surprisingly, you are mistaken. The moderators have established that it is perfectly acceptable to post PMs. If you have a problem with that, talk to your fellow mod types.
Pete,
Thanks for your comments. They have been appropriately ignored.
Enjoy your day.
