Greetings all! I've purchased a 2008 Trek 7.5 FX WSD for my wife for Xmas. Now its my turn. I was planning on waiting until Spring and buying the Men's version of the same model, but I have a chance to pick up a leftover '07 7.6 FX at a sweet price. Aside from the Candy Apple Red color of the 7.6 that just screams "Steal Me!", I don't see much difference between the two bikes. Most of the components are identical with the exception of the shifters (Shimano R440's on the 7.6 and Shimano Deores on the 7.5) and the derailleurs (R440's and 105's on the 7.6 and Deore and Tiagra on the 7.5). Is there a signinficant enough difference in these components to merit waiting for (and payinng more for) an '08? Any sage advice would be appreciated! R.J. Hanson----Saco, ME

I'd say not...I think I would go with the 2007 model of the 7.6 unless you really don't want the red. You do know that red bikes go faster, correct?

I hadn't thought of that! I do remember having a red sports car once. It could get a speeding ticket while parked! Think I will go with the red one.......
