I have a great Litespeed mountain bike named a "Pisgah". After owning the bike I learned it was a National Park and a great place to ride Mountain Bikes near that factory.
Everyone else I know thinks the name is something disgusting. Is this the worst bike name in the world?
I have an old Ross ten speed, on the down tube they spelled bicycle "bicyele". Is that the worst spelling on a bike?
I have a Giant Yukon SE, isn't an SUV a Yukon?
:D
My poor stolen bike. Hummer.
:) I ride with a group, get initiated (riding with them, ahem) - so a stuntman shot and then get a nickname.
Guess what my nickname is with that group.
Takes a strong woman to carry that one off. :)

My mountain bike is a Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo - not a bad name - just odd - doesn't exactly role off the tongue. It's evidently named after a trail in CA.

Definitely different!
My bikes are named blue bike, white bike, fixie, CX, mountain bike, shi$$y bike and Fuji. None of them are good enough to be called hummer. When I find a bike worthy of that name I will sell all the other bikes and ride that one exclusively:).
Nothing beats Kona's Humuhumu-nukunuku-apua'a (http://www.konaworld.com/bikes/2k7/HUMUHUMU/index.html)!
End of thread! :D

Hahanna.
Not actually bad, but how the hell do you pronounce that?? Huhonna? Huh-hannah, like the name?

Hmmm... Pisgah is a great place to ride a mountain bike. Sounds like a good name for a mountain bike to me.
Yukon is a province in Canada not an SUV, typically with connotations of an outdoorsy place (whether true or not), so naming a bike as well as an SUV after it makes sense, so I don't think that's a bad name for a bike, either.

On the last dirt session of the year my bike was aptly named 'F*cked' because I couldn't pedal through the last pack without the BB loosening.

Tude, can you translate that to English? I'm an old guy and have absolutely no idea what you said.

That's why I love her so much. ;)
Anyone remember Mikabike? Posted here and in T&N? He was large and rode a Kona Boss Hoss that he named Prison Sex.
I ride Treks, so they are numbered, not named. To date I have had a 330, a 1000, a 1200, a 8000. Other bikes I have owned are a Puegoet Orient Express, a Bridgestone MB-4, and a Falcon Europa. The 8000, the 1200 and the Europa are still in my possession.

Wow,some amazing names I never heard of. That Kona is so bad I think they would lose sales over the name.

So there is a huge gear or a chain in the frame ring that drives a hidden gear in the chainstay? And it will rotate to fold the bike? HUH?
I've got to see a picture of that! OK, stand by. Maybe I have a collectors item! ......................maybe not.....

How about Cannondale's Taurine? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taurine BILE??? What were they thinking??

It's also an ingredient in a lot of those nasty "energy" drinks. I think that's probably more what Cannondale was going for. :p
OR, they want people to puke with envy?:D

Worst bike names? I nomonate for consideration:
Huffy
Magna
C. Itoh
AMF
Nothing inherently wrong with any of the names, but the crap they got attached to (obviously not including the Serotta-built "Huffys" made for the 7-Eleven team) has rendered all of them odious. I'd be more likely to show interest in a frame with stickers that said "Dog Turd" than ones that say "Magna."

One one "Pompino"
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/BI306G01-On+One+Pompino+Complete+Bike.aspx?SSAID=228999
"Pompino" is Italian slang for sex act. Marketing genius.
You know what's great with this frame?, a set of "*******" wheels.

First off, it's just a rendering. I doubt a prototype even exists. If it did, I'd imagine it'd need some kind of flexible driveshaft or something similar. All kinds of power loss.
I was thinking the same thing. Just a photo. Mabye a photo of a model.

Panasonic is a pretty crappy name for a bike. Why couldnt they have a bike division with its own name? Maybe "GENERIC TANGE2 STEEL TUBED BIKE" and then in really small letters "by Panasonic". Anything but that name.
I had 2 DX-4000's and loved them both, but the occasional jackass would say something like "where's the shaver attachment?" or "where's the antenna?". I had my first one in high school so I guess that should be expected. :o

Surly's Big Dummy, may as well call it "Bloody Moron" because at least that would have a british ring to it.
I once had a bike I called "Bike de merde", the name translates into "piece of **** bike", it was a worn-out giant Yukon that gave me no end of misery. But were I a bike maker I wouldn't call a bike "bike de merde" or "gros cave" (big dummy).
