My cycling is likely done for the year....I have a major issue with my butt! It seems it decided to imitate a party favor last night. I'll very likely be having surgery in the next couple of days to fix it.:(
Keep riding, y'all and I'll be popping in of course, the hospital has wireless :D

At least you can hang out and bike vicariously :) And, you avoid the wind, rain, snow, and drivers who can't deal with any of those.
Seriously, though, hope you get well quickly. I've had this kind of problem and don't envy you one bit.
Ouch! Good luck Tom, so not fair :( :( :(
Then again, maybe your arse heard what you had in store for it in the Spring and revolted ;)

And an update:
I just spoke to my surgeon....
It's got to heal up before I have the scope or the surgery. They have to assess where I'm at before they do any cutting. The only thing that scares me is the risk of another incident!
Meantime, I just got taken off liquids and get REAL FOOD for lunch! Possible release as early as this afternoon and my surgery is about two weeks out or so.

Did you really use the term ASSESS with Rectal Prolapse? At least you seem to be in good spirits.
Sorry to hear about the no biking, but I am sure you will as soon as the doctor ok's it. Just remember to start slow and work your way back into it.

I'm home. I just got out, and am supposed to take it real easy! I'll likely have the surgery after Xmas, as long as I don't have any further issues. I'm definitely off the bike for a while though.
