What's the best battery to use for my blinkies? I have no problem with the run time i am getting out of alkalines, but I hear Lithiums stay more at a more constant voltage as they are used. I hate taking what seem to be half-decent alkalines out just because they are starting to dim...I don't have much else use for them elsewhere.
Not interested in rechargeables for this application. Opinions? Experience?
I use lithium primary's in all my battery powered lights cause I don't want to only have full brightness for 1/4th the useful battery life.
Esp. with blinkies, you'll replace the batteries like what, once a month?

Thanks. How suddenly do the Lithiums die out? Do I get an hour of steady dimming? 15 min?

Good question! It seems like an hour or two, but that's not long enough for me when it comes to rear lights--I may not notice the dimming until my ride is over. I prefer nimh. Though they start at a lower voltage, they maintain voltage much better than alkaline. Plus, they're by far the cheapest in the long run. I do carry lithiums as emergency spares, though.
