They're local - Santa Rosa. There's an article in Road Bike Mag about their commuter bike which the tester seemed to like very much. Every time I see a used SyCip bike for sale on eBay or Craigslist, the asking price is really high. Craftsmanship is what they are known for, I think. How do their bikes fit and ride? Just for its looks, I would get one...on sale, that is.

I know of one of the SyCip brothers from another forum. Seems like a good guy. Plus he's a fellow Filipino so he's gotta be a cool cat. :)

I have a custom Sycip Diesel (single speed hardtail mtn bike). It's an incredible frame. I had a great experience working with them in designing/building the bike. They are very active in the cyclocross community and everyone I know who rides a Sycip raves about it.

If you're considering a used frame, keep in mind that they build custom bikes so the frame was built specifically for another rider. This means you should pay careful attention to the dimensions (which might not be standard).

They also build production bikes so they are not all custom.
