Back in the day, Paramount owners could bring in their bike to the local Schwinn store and have the bike sent to Chicago for frame staightening and painting. The cost was very reasonable. I had a Paramount track bike that I loaned to a track newbie and wouldnt you know, he crashed it. Bent the fork. No biggie as the bike was about ten years old at the time and had seen alot of racing and could have used a new paint job. Took it to my Schwinn dealer, off it went to the factory, about a month later I had my bike, fork staightened, new paint and decals. Is there anything comparable today? Does Waterford take in old Paramounts and refresh them?

Waterford will do it, but for quite a price.

they do an excellent job. they are the most authentic you can get. their prices are bracing. they will do their own bikes (the waterford paramounts) cheaper than they will other paramounts.
