I've got a DIY 20W MR16 spot headlight I built using a lawn spot fixture, works great, fantastic run time, only one problem: mounting.

I want to be able to move this light between bikes, but have an MTB with skinny handlebars and a road bike with fat handlebars. Does anyone make a decent quick-release clamp that I can bolt this light to and swap it back and forth? Maybe one that clamps on the headset spacer (1 3/8" or 1 1/2")?

Thanks for any ideas.

I use a 3/4 inch electrical conduit clamp with a thumbscrew instead of the carriage bolt.

batteryspace.com (http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=888) has clamps in the DIY subsection of their bike light section.

Planet Bike sells individual parts for all their current lights on their web site. Shipping is included If you are in Canada, MEC has them listed for even a bit less. I bought two of their adjustable length band model for mounting flashlights or a DIY light.

I would be interested in knowoing the manufactruer and model of some of the other quick release mounting brackets I see on other DIY lights on this forum.

I just bought a replacement mount from Planetbike. Great pricing, service and turn around time. Completely forgot about them. Great company to deal with.
