Hey all you Foosters,

I am just toiling with a decision for this spring semester. I have 4 classes to take this go round but it seems as though 2 of my 4 classes are only given on 1 day of the week which happens to be Thursday. I really want to get these classes done because that will put me ahead of the game and I will finish early. It works out that I am taking 14 hours this semester. However it is this Thursday that I am concerned about. I have been commuting since the wife and I share a car. Now I have already ridden the route and the route to and from school is doable, it is 20 miles one way. But I will have a really long day on Thursday. I need to be at school fo classes at 8 am and then will have class all the way through until about 10 pm. There will about an hour break in between classes. Of course, my luck has the 2 classes I need starting and finishing the day.

Please tell me that some of you have been there with a schedule like this. I am just curious as to whether any of you had been in a similar situation. The bad thing is that I still have to hold down the fort with 40 hours a week at my job.

Am I crazy for taking this scehdule?

That's going to be a pretty rough day....personally, I don't think its a good idea. Could you do just the morning class this time and do the evening class next term or another term?

OUCH! That is one HELL of a long day!! - -- not only full time school, but a 40 hr a week too. I understand the getting out early part, but don't burn out ---- and don't let the grades suffer ....

It's a long day but very doable. If it gets you ahead just think of it as having 16 days this year that you'll be a little tired going into Friday...like everyone else ;)

What kind of classes are they? To me that's almost more important than a little student life induced sleep dep.

The classes I have this semester are

Microsoft windows Netowrking and operating systems
Fundamentals of Networking
Algebra
and
Intro to Networking

I think I am set for the Math and the Intro to networking.

I am considering dropping the class that goes to 9 pm though. Especially sine I am commuting to school and the school is not in the most desirable area of town.

Dang, that's a 14 hour day at school, on top of the three-ish hours on the bike. Even though it's only one day a week, I'd grow to hate that day of the week very quickly. I'm sure it can be done, but it's not going to be fun.
