Commuting - I was cold...

In my car. After two days of sick leave I'm still worn out so I drove and took a supply of clothes and snack items to my office. When I left at 6pm in the dark I was surprised by how cold the car was for at least the first five minutes. I guess I've become acclimated to cycling home :D

I feel your cold! Heh, cars are big heat sinks of metal and glass. You can't move your legs enough sitting in a car to warm up.

Actually, I can't feel your cold being in extreme South Florida, but I have been in winter climes in my past. :p

Imagine how cold people with poor circulation from never exercising get.

(Body fat is a good insulator, but nothing generates heat like working muscles. :D)

With my 4 mile commute, I'm halfway to work and generating heat before I could get icy windows cleared, let alone have the vehicle heated up.

My feet are cold no matter what.
My hands are generally the opposite.

On a cold day my feet are frozen in boots with wool socks on a bus, wool socks on a bike, wool socks in a car, and on and on.
As for the rest of me, it is generally warm as well in a car, bike, bus, in a tree, on a plane, etc...
I see no correlation between car = cold and bike = warm.
