Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - notification by email...working?

when i first signed on a few months ago, the 'notification by email' worked nicely. but now it seems to be very intermittent. i get emails about some threads i've posted, but then i'll see threads that have more posts after i posted, and i wasn't notified. i've tried turning the setting off and on, that doesn't help. any ideas?

and...i'd better check back here, otherwise i might not get notified of the reply! :)

If you use the "Quick Reply" text box to respond to a post at the bottom of the page, you will not get an email notification, but if you hit on the "Post Reply" button at the bottom of the post (to the right of the "New Thread" button) and post your response in the text box that appears, you'll get your email notification.

Try it and see what happens. If it doesn't work, post here and let us know and we'll check things out for you.

ok i didn't know about the quick reply vs post reply. thanks! however...

since i started this thread, i should have gotten notification when you replied, right? i didn't get anything. or does the notification not apply to thread starters? i would think that's where it would be most useful, since you'd want to know when someone replied to your question.

i did eventually get a notification about your response. but it came in after my reply to yours! so i guess it's working for new threads, there was just a delay in the email. i think the problem is solved. thanks!
