I am looking for a decent road bike for sell for around 100 to 200 dollars. Send reply of detail. I would but prefer STI but downtube shifters will work. I am about 6'1" so I think a need at least a 56 cm

Did you post in the wanted section, or look in the Classifieds?

I think you'll need a bigger size than a 56 if you're 6'1". I'm 5'11" and I bought a 58cm

I agree with shokhead and bumpdog... I'm 6'-3" and ride a 62 cm (compact frame). You'll probably do better with a 58-60 cm. eBay is an excellent resource... at least browse around there and see what $200 will get you.

Kevin,

It would help if you specify where you are located. The boards are read by people all over the world. It won't do you much good if the cheap bike of your dreams is in Canada and you are in Germany.

On the other hand, I'm 6'4" and have a 56 that fits me perfectly. Longer torso than normal... Go to www.wrenchscience.com to be "fitted".

Also, I'd be surprised if you can get the bike you're looking for for just $200. Might want to change your budget or expectations :) Check out eBay.

Use wrenchscience as a place to start, but don't take their word for it. I'd suggest using at least one other fit resource. I used numbers from the web for a general idea, but they did not really provide a good fit when used verbatim.

I'll second the notion to bump the ol' budget up a little, if you can. It'll be worth the wait if you have to save a little longer.
