I have a threadless 1 1/8 fork. I just removed the stem and is the fork suppose to slide out easily or not? Right now it is stuck and I am wondering if there is another step to take to remove the fork.

Just give the steerer tube a good whack with a rubber mallet........it'll slide out, guaranteed.
