Hello. I have an aging halogen NiteRider system that I had thought was the Cyclops, but searches on the web seem to indicate that the Cyclops was supplied with the water bottle style battery pack while mine is a smaller, flatter pack that is designed to be Velcro strapped to the frame. The light itself has a single female power socket with a 10w bulb. Basically I'm trying to get specs on this to determine what to replace the battery with since this one is on it's last legs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
K2

Or a similar earlier model. I have several like it. It probably looks like the one on the left

The good news is that you don't have to use the Niterider battery. I use RC car batteries that overvolt the lamp and give you more light. Here's one that I put together for longer run times. You can easily change the bulb to a 15 or 20 W that throw even more light. The batteries (http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1298) from Battery Space are about $18.

You can also put 12V bulbs in these lamps and run them at 14.4V (2 battery packs wired in series).
