Very little experience here.

I own a Sigma Targa. It is ok but not great. Buttons are not smooth but do function. Price was good.

dxb, can you tell us something more? For instance: which functions are you looking for? Do you want a wired or a wireless 'puter? What is your budget?

By the way, I would recommend a computer with cadence.

Have you looked at Vetta (http://www.vetta.com/Product_Computer.html)?

I's say make sure you get cadence, auto-stop and weather resistance. Other than that, go for the one that fits your budget. I have an off-brand "Echo J12" w/ cadence that cost me $25. I've had it for 5 years and LOVE it!

I've been using the Specialized Elite w/cadence and been very happy with it...easy to use and I didn't have to read any instructions. :) I believe it cost less than $60 when I bought it at SuperGo.

I also own a Sigma Targa... I think the buttons are that way because it was designed to be robust...
I like the look of its titanium casing... and the heavy duty harness... It has limited functions, but all i need the most is there..

I sell both Sigma Soprt and Cateye, out of both that I have used abused and had go out I like the Sigma Sports the best. I use a BC 800 wired and a wireless Targa.

Over the years, I have tried many brands, but it will most likely be nothing but sigma from here on. My wife and I have had no problems whatsoever with our 800's for the past couple of years. We're considering upgrading to the newer 1600 model for the cadence feature.

I have the Cateye Astrale 8 and love it. It was only $40 and has cadence included. It's all wired but my LBS did a great job with the wiring and now there's no inconsistency that can sometimes happen with wireless.

A look at a few bike catalogs will show face shots of a lot of computers. I discovered early that when I use my older glasses that small # size makes some computers hard to read: the Trek Radar and Avocet were such. I standardized on Mity 3 from Cateye because of the larger numbers on the display compared to most. It does not have cadence and is wired but runs under $20 in periodic sales. Steve
