Classic & Vintage - Any info on Verago bicycles?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi, I'm new here, and I'm trying to get some info on a bike I got off of ebay about 6 years ago. It's a Verago, with Columbus tubing (decal to worn to identify beyond that). My guess is mid 80's. It was either a cross, or touring bike as it is set up for Canti's. I raced cross on it for a few years, and have now converted it into a fixed gear. The paint was in bad shape when I got it, and I'm contemplating stripping it down, and repainting it, but I'd hate to do that if it's actually of value in it's current (original) condition. I've scoured the internet for information on the brand, and have found absolutely nothing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi berath, as a new person you don't quite understand the desirability of photos :D . Some of us are just visually oriented though.
So, if you've got photos, share them with us...;)

Thanks for going easy on me. I've uploaded a couple pictures to hopefully provide a little more clarity. It has some type of Columbus tubing (decal on seat-tube) but the decal is so warn, I can' make anything out on it.

I'm probably wrong, but it looks as if Verago was a Swiss cycling team (BLACKY / VERAGO ). What components are on the bike?
I love the colour fade!

It originally had Campy Super/Nuovo Record cranks and derailleurs (Pat. 83), Suntour bar-end shifters, and Gallia cantilevers. The components are pretty beat up though from the previous owner racing cross on them.
I just took a closer look at the tubing decal. It looks like it's Columbus super-butted, SLX tubing. I've heard you can confirm this by removing the bottom bracket and feeling inside the downtube and seattube for splines?

You do realize that the frame is probably intended for cyclocross?
