Heya, I figured I'd post this here, not quite sure where else to post it. I've been trying to find a good running/hiking forum as well, though i haven't looked very hard so if you could point me to one of those as well that'd be great.

Anyways moving on! My old nikes don't cut it anymore for running/hiking on trails anymore, my legs get so beat up. Anyone have any good suggestions for shoes? I've been looking at the Merrell Reflexs, and there was a pair of North Faces i was looking at. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

I like some of the New Balance trail runners... the NB's just seem to fit my feet better

I run primarily on roads, so I can't comment on shoes but the forums at http://www.backpacker.com are quite good (especially the Ultralight forum) and the discussion forums at http://www.coolrunning.com are the best running forums on the net (IMHO). They even have a Multi-Sport forum.

I run trails, but I don't wear trail-specific shoes. I have a pair of Saucony Grid Trigon shoes. The Sauconys have a good tread on the bottom and they work well for me.

A good running forum (maintained by one of our members here -- Purple Hayes) is Runningforums.com (http://runningforums.com/forum/index.php) and a good one for backpacking (they cover hiking topics too, of course) is Lightweight Backpacker (http://www.backpacking.net/) .
