Fifty Plus (50+) - I want this bike carrier for Christmas

So if you set up and ride your trainer inside the coach while someone
else drives the coach for 100 miles.....just wondering? ;)

Would it be acceptable to put your bike's odometer sensor on one of the coach's axles? And if you did put the odometer on the coach's axle, would you be able to call your bike travels an unsupported road tour?

If the above is not kosher, and the coach is indeed a bike carrier, could you consider it a Nimitz-class carrier? Lessee, the USS Bombadil has a nice ring to it. You could provide carrier support off the Persian Gulf, as soon as you get some pontoons for your mountain bikes.

The only thing missing is the 50+ emblem from the jersey emblazened on the side. I sure hope you have gas money though.......

If you run low on gas money or are feeling green, just rig up a hitch and tow it with your bike.

I sure did. The last time that I bought a car my specs were that it had to hold my tandem easily on the inside and be short enough on the outside to easily fit into my garage. The short list included the Honda Element and the short version of the Dodge Caravan. This year they stopped making the short version of the Dodge Caravan.

Yep. Went to a Detroit auto show I believe in January 2007, to get ideas for a one bike PT-Boat versus a multiple bike Nimitz-class carrier. For me, a good choice could have been the Toyota Prius, to enable carrying an entire bike on its side with both wheels intact. Good gas mileage because it's a hybrid, but waiting a few years to see if Toyota can work out all the minor bugs associated with today's hybrid technology.

That was one of the major considerations when I bought my van a few years ago. I took the bike with me and if the bike didn't fit inside without removing the front wheel I didn't want it.

I have a hitch mounted bike rack I use when transporting more than one bike but usually I just slide mine inside.

Well, this rig runs on desiel, not gasoline. I'm thinking though, if you have the $750,000 to $1 million this RV costs, you are probably not too worried about fueling it up.
