Fifty Plus (50+) - Road train

It was going to happen, the question is, why did it take so long and why did I try it on a day when I feel so rotten?

and the movie version - the photographer has been spoken to but seeing it was his first time taking a movie, I've forgiven him ... sort of.

And the ride report? Quite stable and quite rideable. Mind you, going down hill was a lot better than going up hill :rolleyes: I've only done 2km like this, but the experiment will be repeated in earnest in the near future.

You should have seen the faces lined up along the fence of the retirement village :D

Grrrr on the grand daughter bit :p I remember a couple of years back, the Lions club were prowling the streets with Father Christmas in tow, selling their fruit cakes. Their fruit cakes are as good as Mum's so I took the lass out to buy one ... and to let her say hello to the old bloke in the red suit of course. He said all the right things ... then asked if she was enjoying having a day with 'Granddad'. She corrected him immediately ... and his face went even redder :D It was almost worth it for that reaction ;)

The wee doggie is a German Spitz - the Pomeranians were developed from the German Spitz, basically just the toy version of the GS that managed to gain a new name along with the new breed. He loves his rides in the trailer.

Of course had it been me I probaly have bungeed the critter to the rack above the rear wheel and ditched the carrier.........just kiddin of course.

That pic, and the movie version, just made my day. I'm not sure who's having the most fun, but that Pomeranian sure is grinning!

I saw the very same bike train this year at the Brandywine Tour, here in SE PA. I was put to shame as he/it passed me. I followed for maybe half a mile, but he slowly pulled away. I'm so slow.

Man I didn't go to all that trouble of breading a strong granddaughter so I'd have to work :)

Did you really put on the trailer for the dog?

Riding a Tandem- I keep getting the comment that the Stoker is not pedalling. With a tag along- I think that is definitely the case. Then to pull a further trailer with a dog in it is lunacy.

Still- I suppose it is good hill traing as even the slightest slope must be a nightmare.


And staying on Family rides-- I often see family groups out with Dad riding a good quality bike and Mum with the youngster in the seat on the back of the bike. Only problem being that Mum has got the rubbish bike with the bent wheels and high gearing.

WHY?

How does the wife feel about this? Of course one "Hi Daddy" from your daughter will have you standing there alone.

My puppy is 90 lbs, so if wants to go anyplace, he can use his own four feet.
